When I saw a diaper cake one morning, I was extremely shocked at how nice they looked. I saw my neighbor bringing one into her house, so I asked her what it was. A simple type of battery charger for cars supplies a constant voltage or current to the car battery to be charged. A battery left for charging for a long time can get weakened or damaged due to overcharging. There are more efficient battery chargers for cars available these days.
Almost all cars normally have 12 volt batteries. If you charge your battery with a proper car battery charger, you can prolong the life of your car battery. On the other hand, you can damage the battery with a wrong charger.
You must find out the type of battery in your car and know its current storage capacity. You can refer to the manufacturers manual and recommendations for charging the batteries.
Normally, a car 12V battery stores 50 amp hours of electrical power. Each type of the battery takes a different time for full charging. You must buy a car battery charger that suits your needs.
Charging Process:
There are different stages of charging a battery.
Bulk Charge: When charging a battery, the current is given at a safe rate until your battery is about 80 to 90% charged.
Absorption charge: Next, the charger switches over to the Absorption Charge. A constant voltage is applied and the current gradually reduces due to the resistance offered by the battery as it gets charged. The current drops down and the charger produces a higher voltage during this stage in the 14.2 to 15.5 volts range.
Float Charge: The third stage is Float Charge. The charging voltage is stepped down between 12.8 to 13.2 volts. It is also known as trickle charge. The hydrogen gas emission is controlled to a minimum level for safety purpose. The battery is maintained at full charge before use. A pulse width modulation is used with very short pulses to keep the battery topped up in a few battery chargers for cars.
Most of commercial battery chargers work on bulk charging. They cannot be left on for a long period and they work only for top-up charging.
Regulated Chargers/ Trickle Chargers: For trickle charging, a regulated charger will work. There are some taper chargers. The current goes on decreasing as the battery charges. A taper charger does not maintain the specific voltage and can either under charge or overcharge your car battery.
Timer Charger: You can overcome the overcharging problem using a timer charger. However, the timing has to be correctly set.
Two-Stage Chargers: This type of battery chargers for cars charge the battery until it attains a preset voltage and a reduced float voltage is applied after that. The preset voltage should be higher than the absorption voltage, otherwise the battery will be undercharged. It can also overcharge your battery, therefore you have to watch it.
Automatic chargers: This type of charger prevents overcharging and can charge the battery in a few hours. They have a timer to shut the power off. The battery will not overheat. There is an LED readout to display the battery charge. In addition to the LED indicator, an audible alarm also signals when the battery is charged.
Processor Controlled Chargers: These are sophisticated chargers with the best options. They can charge the battery based upon the changes in voltage and resistance as it charges. Microprocessor controlled charging is the simplest way to keep your car battery at an optimal power level. They use a multi-phase charging process via their automatic charge or maintain mode. The onboard microprocessor analyzes the data and the battery is supplied a constant charge and charging is tripped off when it reaches the preset level.

One of the easiest ways that I found to prevent myself from losing chess pieces is to keep them in bags. I went out to the local fabric store in purchased a soft felt fabric. What this will do is protect my pieces from being scratched. Then what I did was create little bags for my chess pieces. I made a couple, so that way when I was organizing my pieces it would be a little easier to set up a chessboard. For example, I put all of my pieces from my chess sets in one bag, and another set in another bag. This way I don’t end up mixing two different sets and creating a huge mess. Either way I’ve found that I have not been losing my pieces as much. They do get a little scratched, but I would rather have them a little scratched than missing if you know what I mean!

However, if the company does not want to send you an extra keys, you may be able to purchase one from them. This way, you won’t have to spend the extra money in purchasing a new chess set, and can just purchased the individual piece. You may run into a situation where you can do either of these, and you’ll be stopped having to buy new chess set.
